Antwoine Washington was born in Pontiac, Michigan, a small city near Detroit. Washington earned his BA in Studio Art from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA. While attending Southern, Washington deepened his understanding of Black history and art in America, inspiring him to carry on the legacy of Harlem Renaissance artists like Romare Bearden, Elizabeth Catlett, and Jacob Lawrence.

He decided to tell stories of the Black experience in America through his art. After college, he moved to Cleveland, OH, with his wife and began working as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. During this leap of faith to pursue his dreams, Washington suffered a stroke in November 2018. During his recovery, he used his art to manage panic attacks and numbness on the right side of his body.

Since surviving the stroke, he has kept seizing every opportunity, showcasing his work at the Cleveland Museum of Art, MoCA Cleveland, and the Cincinnati Art Museum. He was also commissioned by Land Studios to create a mural at MetroHealth Hospital, Cleveland Public Square, and the Cleveland Walls International Mural Festival. Antwoine started a nonprofit called the Museum of Creative Human Art to teach art. He currently lives and works in Cleveland, OH.

A.F. Oehmke is an artist, designer, and writer who lives alternatively between Virginia and the upper Midwest. Oehmke received a BFA in sculpture from the Maryland Institute College of Art, and an MFA in 2D Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Oehmke’s practice investigates Black geographies, engaging with spatial and contextual practices as a way to interrogate cultural hierarchies, social ideologies, and collective histories.

The results of these investigations include sculptures, installations, text-based work, graphic design, and community events that question the continued legacy of space and place in the Black American consciousness.

Oehmke’s work has been featured in publications such as Hyperallergic, Art F City, and Eye on Design. Oehmke's work is part of the Jennifer Gilbert Collection, and the Cranbrook Museum of Art houses Oehmke’s work in its permanent collection.

Lauren Pearce born in 1988 is a self-taught mixed media figurative artist born in Detroit MI,
raised in South Florida and currently based in Cleveland, Ohio. Her work is a vibrant exploration of identity, rooted deeply in her Jamaican heritage, her neurodivergence and the transformative power of nature.

Drawing inspiration from the natural world and her personal journey of “unmasking,” Pearce
creates layered, narrative-rich pieces that invite viewers into intimate, imagined worlds. Each
work is a meditation on what it means to be fully oneself—vulnerable, evolving, and connected to the earth. Nature is not just a backdrop in her art; it is a collaborator, a mirror, and a guide. With intricate detail and bold composition, Pearce’s art tells stories meant to transport. Her goal is for each piece to feel like a journey—one where viewers can lose themselves in the textures, symbols, and emotional depth of her work.

Lauren has had 5 Solo exhibitions to date ranging from London to Palm Beach, Florida. Her
work currently is apart of Collections like The Dean Collection, CCH Pounder collection, and
The Raclin Murphy Museum of Art.

Amanda D. King is an artist, cultural strategist, and creative director whose practice moves across photography, curation, and civic imagination. She builds cultural ecosystems that position art as essential infrastructure for public life—bridging visual practice, institutional critique, and cultural reclamation.

As creative director of Shooting Without Bullets, an arts-based, for-impact agency, King develops strategy and leads projects that address structural barriers shaping the arts and civic engagement. She extends this work as co-founder of offset, an initiative of the Museum of Creative Human Art presenting solo exhibitions of Midwest artists. Reshaping contemporary art from the geographic and cultural middle, outside dominant art-market frameworks.

Her photographs reside in the collection of the Akron Art Museum, are featured in the African American History Gallery at the Western Reserve Historical Society, and have been exhibited at Transformer Station as part of the FRONT International Art Futures Fellowship developed in partnership with the Cleveland Museum of Art. Moving deliberately between the intimate and the monumental, her work encompasses a national billboard campaign with For Freedoms, sustained community collaborations, and PRISM: Seeing Beyond Mass Incarceration, an Art for Justice Fund initiative sited at the Cleveland Public Library. Foundational to her practice is an insistence on visibility as method—attending to overlooked histories, places, and practices.

King has presented her research and practice at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University, Kenyon College, and the Maryland Institute College of Art.
Her work has been recognized by the Ohio Arts Council, Monument Lab, Echoing Green, and the Nathan Cummings Foundation. Collaborations span Nike, Ghetto Gastro, and A3C. Her writing has appeared in Dazed, The Guardian, New Art Examiner, CAN Journal, and The People's Practice, with early editorial work at Complex and Condé Nast.

King holds a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and an A.B. in Art History from Bryn Mawr College. She lives and works in Cleveland, Ohio.
