Season Fair is an annual contemporary art fair held in Detroit, organized by Season Contemporary, a nonprofit cultural initiative focused on building market infrastructure for artists, galleries, and cultural workers. The fair's inaugural edition generated $90,000 in verified art sales, supported 25 local jobs, and produced more than $360,000 in total economic impact. Produced by Olu & Company.

Season Fair returns to the Shepherd from September 11–13, 2026, for its second edition, bringing together eleven exhibitors from Detroit, Cleveland, Minneapolis, Washington, D.C., and Aalborg, Denmark. The fair's 2026 edition introduces Form, a new section dedicated to sculpture and object-based practices, expanding Season’s curatorial scope.

MoCHA presents artists at Season Fair

In-Between takes its orientation from Toni Morrison’s 1993 Nobel Lecture, reading Babel’s collapse as the failure of a vertical imagination—one that locates heaven above, elsewhere, and within a singular monumental form. Working from the long afterlife of Midwest deindustrialization, Antwoine Washington, Lauren Pearce, and A.F. Oehmke, and Amanda D. King turn toward a horizontal practice of relation. Through abstraction, accumulation, and figuration, their works construct a spatial lexicon of Black reclamation: a shared future assembled in-between, with heaven made legible in their gestures.In-

Between is independently curated by Amanda D. King and presented by the Museum of Creative Human Art, led by Antwoine Washington, under the organization’s curatorial platform, offset.
